Help grow a greener future at Itchen Valley Country Park
Residents can join or sponsor a tree planting session to support biodiversity and restore woodland at the country park
Plant Eastleigh - the borough's initiative to help tackle climate change, improve the environment and local green spaces - returns to Itchen Valley Country Park in the New Year.
Planting thousands of trees is a key part of the council's plans to help the Borough reach carbon neutrality by the year 2030 and bolster biodiversity in the area.
Green-fingered residents are encouraged to join or sponsor a tree planting session at the country park.
Three planting days are planned:
January 25
February 8
February 22
Three planting slots are available each day.
10.30am - 12pm
12.15pm - 1.45pm
2pm - 3pm
This festive season, residents can support their local woodland by giving a gift that grows and makes a lasting difference to the community for £18.
Those sending a tree as a gift will receive a printable gift certificate to share, and participants at the planting days can enjoy 20% off hot drinks at The Woodland Café, Itchen Valley.
Help grow a woodland and book or sponsor a tree planting session.
