Get set for a fun festive season at Itchen Valley Country Park

There are fun and creative community events for all the family over November and December.

There’s something for everyone during the festive period at Itchen Valley Country Park.

From making seasonal wreaths, to lantern workshops culminating with a festive singalong at the Country Park on Sunday 21 December, there are fun and creative community events for all the family over November and December.

But you had better hurry, because events are booking up fast!

During November, there are two grown-up festive workshops to create your own Festive Trees and Seasonal Wreaths on Sunday 16 and 23 November.

Why not try your hand at rustic willow-weaving inspired by the cosier months?

For the festive trees, you will be guided by the experienced Jacqui from Willow and Crafts and will take two willow trees home with your own embellished designs.

The wreath will be formed out of buff willow with nature’s treasures: pinecones, seeds, and dried flowers gathered from the park, are now ready to add to your festive creations.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, these workshops offer a perfect way to relax, get creative, and enjoy the holiday spirit surrounded by nature!

In December, a Willow Lantern workshop taking place on Sunday 14 December - light up the season with your very own handmade lantern!

Join the team in The Hide (High Hill Field) for this hands-on workshop where you’ll shape your lantern using buff willow, decorate it, and take home a unique handmade festive creation!

You can then bring your beautiful willow lantern to the Festive Songs and Lanterns event…

Celebrate the season with light, music, and festive cheer at our lantern workshop, parade and festive singalong event!

Bring your friends, family, creativity, and festive spirit and join us for a magical hands-on introduction to the season’s celebrations at the Festive Songs and Lanterns event with Otterbourne Brass playing live!

End the run-up to the holidays with an optional kids glass lantern workshop at 3.30pm followed by performances by Mountbatten Choir, the lantern parade, ending with the live brass band with festive songs which all takes place on Sunday 21 December.

Local charities, Mountbatten Hospice and Eastleigh Community Fridge (managed by Thrive Church) will be there with lucky dips and gifts, and the Woodland Café will also be open for hot drinks and snacks!

We’ll see you there…
