Discover autumn colour at Itchen Valley Country Park 🍁

Autumn has arrived at Itchen Valley Country Park, and it’s never looked more beautiful!

The trees are glowing with golden leaves, the air is fresh and cool, and the park is full of that autumn feeling that makes you want to slow down, wrap up warm, and enjoy the outdoors.

Our veteran oak trees are at their best right now, their broad leaves turning deep shades of gold and copper. The hawthorns are bursting with bright red berries, a feast for hungry birds getting ready for winter. As you wander the trails (especially the nature trail), every turn brings a new scene of autumn colour.

The park is alive with wildlife, too. Listen for the chatter of jays gathering acorns, the rustle of squirrels darting through the leaves, and the distant call of robins marking their territories for winter. It’s the perfect time to slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature all around you.

Families can enjoy a relaxed day out exploring the trails and play areas, and the open meadows are perfect for a run around or a quiet picnic surrounded by autumn colour. After your walk, stop by the café for a warming drink, a hot chocolate, a pumpkin spiced latte, or coffee and a tasty treat while you look out over the golden trees.

There’s something wonderfully refreshing about being outdoors at this time of year — the crunch of leaves, the sparkle of low sunlight, and that uplifting feeling of cool, clean air. So why not make the most of the season?

Plan your visit today and enjoy the beauty of autumn at Itchen Valley 🍂
