From silent discos to spooky crafts, there's fun for all ages

There’s plenty of spooky goings on to put the frighteners into families at Itchen Valley Park over Halloween.

From the Haunted Forest Halloween Trail to bat and spider workshops and spooky silent discos for families and a separate one for adults too! There’s something for everyone in the holiday period.

A Haunted Forest Family Trail takes place daily between 25 October and 2 November and costs £3 per trail pack.

Step into the shadows of our Haunted Forest this Halloween… if you dare!

Trixie needs your help to find her way through the twists and turns of the woods. Along the path you’ll: Explore the eerie forest trails; Crack spine-tingling clues and you can enter our Halloween competition for the chance to win a spook-tacular goodie bag!

Continuing with a spooky theme, there are craft workshops for children to create their very own bats and spiders and lanterns!

On Monday 27 October between 10:30 and 15:00 young people can get creative and make their own hanging upside-down bat with fun materials which they can take home!

The session is perfect for families (recommended 5yrs +) Session times: 10:30am – 11:15am & 2pm – 2:45pm, all materials are included.

A Spooky Spider Craft event is also set to take place on Wednesday, October 29 at the park.

Get tangled up in some creepy-crawly fun this Halloween as you create your very own spooky spider decoration! 🕸️

Here’s what to expect: Craft & create your own spider, add spooky details and take home your creepy-crawly masterpiece! Suitable for accompanied children aged 5+

10.30am - 11.15am; 11.30am - 12.15am. £5 per child – all materials provided, book now.

Or perhaps you want to try your hand at making a magical Halloween glass lantern on Thursday 30 October between 10:30am and 3pm.

Here’s what’s in store: decorate glass with colourful tissue and stickers; create a lantern to shine at home; take home a magical Halloween keepsake.

Session times: 10:30am • 11:15am • 1:30pm • 2:15pm. £5 per child – all materials provided.

On Friday, 31 October, events climax with a spooky silent disco for families, and a separate one for adults too!

The Family Spooky Silent Disco event takes place between 5.30pm and 6.30pm and costs £8 for tickets.

Tiny ghosts and groovy ghouls can enjoy tunes with the Silent Disco King.

Step into the marquee and dance under the twinkling lights with your little monsters and witches. With three kid-friendly music channels, everyone can find their perfect beat and boogie the night away.

The adult silent disco event follows between 7pm and 9pm. Tickets cost £15

Step into the shadows…and join us for an unforgettable night of music, dancing, and eerie vibes at our Spooky Silent Disco with Silent Disco King. Inside our enchanted marquee, under twinkling lights and the night sky, you’ll lose yourself in the beats of three curated music channels, switch at the flick of a button and choose your soundtrack for the night.

Expect a mix of: Fright Night Classics – Halloween party anthems, Monster Mash-Ups – Pop, disco, and dance floor favourites.

With glowing headphones, spooky décor, and a buzzing crowd, this is a Halloween party like no other. Entry to the adult-only silent disco (18+)
