We invite little nature guardians to Itchen Valley this summer
We have a range of flexible kids' nature-based activities at Itchen Valley this summer holidays!
New this year we have the Nature Guardian Quest. Running from 25 July to 27 August for your little adventurers!
Join us this summer holiday for an adventure to explore, get creative in nature and discover the ways of the Country Park. There are four tasks in the quest for you to complete over the five weeks. Take on as many as you like, complete them all in one visit, or complete them in multiple visits to finish your journey – it's your choice!
Booklets can be collected from the Woodland Café for just £5 to cover the whole summer!
Once you’ve completed your quests, come along to our free drop-in session on the 27 August to create your very own medal and nature notebook to celebrate your Nature Guardian Quest! If you’re busy questing elsewhere you can pick up a pack from the Woodland Café to create at home.
To further the fun, we are holding regular Thursday Nature Guardian Crafts from The Hide for just £5 per session (10.30am or 11.30am):
30 July - Wooden Disc Insects
Paint, decorate, and bring these creepy crawlies to life.
6 August - Nature Clay Mosaic
Shape, design and decorate to create beautiful nature mosaics.
13 August - Mini Enchanted Garden
Build your very own mini garden in a plant pot - plant colourful flowers, add fun decorations and create a magical, enchanted garden.
20 August - Leaf Bag Printing
design your own printed tote bag, leaf-bashing with real leaves or painting with colourful paints.
In addition, Summer Wild Wednesdays will be available to book for five weeks from 29 August, 10.30 - 11.30am!
Join a guided minibeast hunt in High Hill Field using sweep nets. There will be a variety of ID guides available to use to explore the hidden bugs life for just £5 per child (Ages 4+)!
